“This photo series is entitled “The Air-Conditioned Nightmare”. It is a penetration of the American landscape. A small glimpse into the ever changing American backdrop. These photos were taken throughout separate trips to New York, Los Angeles, Massachusetts, and Nevada. They represent different objects and signifiers of the American dream, that deal with a certain vacancy that exists in the country’s psyche. Even in the most populated of cities and the most abandoned deserts, it is nothing more then vacant parking lot.” – Orson Oblowitz
